Before the works...
The merbau parquet flooring in this Gerrards Cross home was looking tired and in urgent need of restoration. During our obligation-free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by detailed quote with our floor restoration & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.
Our client decided to go for floor sanding of 21 sqm merbau parquet flooring with gap filling and finishing the floors in matt lacquer.
How we carried out this merbau parquet flooring renovation...
Parquet flooring comprises of many small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.
During the merbau parquet flooring restoration the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for excellent results.
Our works included approx. 21 sqm merbau parquet flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.
We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor restoration process. We aim to apply resin filler in the second half of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.
Overall, this floor sanding project in Gerrards Cross was completed as planned and to the delight of the client.
