Before the works...

The oak solid wood flooring in this Wandsworth flat was looking tired and in urgent need of refinishing. During our initial survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible choices, followed by itemised quote with our floor restoration & repairs pricing for solid wood flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 59 sqm oak solid wood flooring and finishing the floors in satin Lacquer.

How we carried out this oak solid wood flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we experienced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to larger pieces of furniture, which could not be moved out.

Solid solid wood flooring floors are durable, long-lasting and therefore, we often find them in condition, which requires more time & care. Our team will re-inspect the floors for movement and in case it requires any repairs, prior to the renovation works.

During the solid oak floor restoration, the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for excellent results.

Our works included approx. 59 sqm oak solid wood flooring floor renovation and finishing in satin lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer.

Overall, this floor sanding project in Wandsworth was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
