Before the works...

The oak engineered wood flooring in this Teddington property was looking tired and in timely need of restoration. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available options, followed by comprehensive quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for engineered wood flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and gap filling of 64 sqm oak engineered wood flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we completed this oak engineered wood flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we experienced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be moved out.

Engineered wood flooring comes with different depth of the top layer. During the initial site visit, we have checked the remaining thickness however, our team will make sure again, there is enough depth before starting the floor renovation works.

During the oak engineered floor restoration, the entire timber surface is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for outstanding results.

Our works included approx. 64 sqm oak engineered wood flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers MT500 lacquer.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply resin filler in late hours of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.

Overall, this floor restoration project in Teddington was completed as scheduled and to the delight of the client.
