Before the works...

The oak parquet flooring in this Chelsea house was looking tired and in urgent need of renovation. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible choices, followed by itemised quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 100 sqm oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in extra-matt Lacquer.

How we carried out this oak parquet flooring restoration...

Parquet flooring comprises of large quantity of small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the oak parquet flooring sanding the timber floors are going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for perfect results.

In this project we also renovated oak staircase with steps & risers. Our stairs restoration service includes finishing with various options, preference of the client - clear lacquer, staining or paint (for wooden floors).

Our works included approx. 100 sqm oak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in extra-matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Traffic Raw lacquer.

Overall, this floor renovation project in Chelsea was completed as scheduled and to the delight of the client.
