Before the works...
The oak parquet flooring in this Putney property was looking tired and in desperate need of restoration. During our free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 65 sqm oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this oak parquet flooring restoration...
One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.
Parquet flooring comprises of large quantity of small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our team will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring sanding the entire timber surface is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for outstanding results.
Our works included approx. 65 sqm oak parquet flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of lacquer.
Overall, this floor sanding project in Putney was completed as originally planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
